Rev David Woosley

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Rev David Woosley on 4th September. He was a Superintendent Minister of this Circuit for 13 years and will be fondly remembered by many. It was a peaceful passing. Please remember Joyce, Jenny, Sue, Ray and the rest of the family. His funeral will take place on Thursday 14th September at 12:30pm at South Chapel Landican followed by Claremount approximately 1.15pm. If anyone wants to go Kit is going to the Church but not the Crem beforehand so please let her know if you would like a lift.

  1. David and I were friends at Kingswood School. We once went on a hitch-hiking tour – aged about 17?- into Scotland, and had many happy times also before then.

    We were briefly in touch by phone some years ago, and again by letter when he said he had developed a form of dementia.

    I have looked in vain so far for a story of his life in the Methodist Recorder.

    I am sorry, very sorry, that I never kept in closer touch. We were great friends at school
