Church Prayer  –  Sankey Valley Methodist Circuit

As we enter a New Year in Church life we welcome Linda and Julie as they come to join our ministry team.  This new year sees us move to a more team based approach to ministry across four clusters in one Circuit.  We prayer for ministers and churches relating to each other and new ways and pray that the Holy Spirit will work amongst us to enable growth and revive the mission of the churches of the Circuit.

Church Prayer – Prescot & Whiston

Church Prayer – Prescot & Whiston.  We pray for all those members of our Church, past and present, who have been involved in the planning for the redevelopment of the property. With God’s help we hope to soon be able to move forward with our plans for the future. We also pray for our ecumenical partners as we worship together today. Minister: Rev Sue Smith

Rev David Woosley

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Rev David Woosley on 4th September. He was a Superintendent Minister of this Circuit for 13 years and will be fondly remembered by many. It was a peaceful passing. Please remember Joyce, Jenny, Sue, Ray and the rest of the family. His funeral will take place on Thursday 14th September at 12:30pm at South Chapel Landican followed by Claremount approximately 1.15pm. If anyone wants to go Kit is going to the Church but not the Crem beforehand so please let her know if you would like a lift.

Harvest Festival

This year we thought it would be nice to decorate the Church with fruit and vegetables along with dried goods. Obviously for this to happen we will need donations and they will need to be brought to Church for Saturday 16th September. We will be having a bring and share lunch after the Harvest Service where the fresh fruit and veg will be auctioned off and the monies raised used to buy more items for the food bank. Everyone is welcome and we hope that as many people as possible will join us at this special time of thanksgiving and celebration of Gods goodness and provision for us. For any more information, please see Jean.
