Church Prayer – Lymm

As a church we continue to pray for our ongoing project ‘To serve the present age’. That we may discern the will of God and uphold the focus within our vision statement: Worship, Growing in faith, Challenging injustice, and showing God’s love to each other and those within our community that we serve. Also, to pray for the project to redevelop the premises to make them fit for purpose in the 21st century.
Minister: Rev Mark Coles

Growth Plan: Successful micro-grant award

Growth Plan: We have successfully been awarded a micro-grant of £1,162 from the “New Places for new people; Our Calling fund” from the Methodist Church of Great Britain.  The grant is for the procurement of a popup prayer tent and portable sound system and will enable our church to further develop our mission Outreach through a planned programme of initiatives. Planning has started and so watch this space for more information coming soon.

Going Deeper

Going Deeper will be meeting in the new year on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month in the lounge at 1.30 – 2.45pm. We will be studying Jesus’ parables and we welcome all who would like to get to know Jesus’ words a bit better to join with us. It is very informal with a tea or coffee and biscuit to start us off.

Fred Pendlebury Trust

Fred Pendlebury Trust is a Warrington based charity which provides small grants in the way of goods and services to people over 50 living within Warrington Unitary Authority. The Trust is looking for a Trustee who is interested in the work of the Trust. The job is not onerous and involves attendance at two trustee meetings a year. In addition, although grants are normally approved by the Chair and deputy Chair of trustees, there are a small number that require the approval of all Trustees. Trustees must be a member of one of the Methodist churches within the Warrington Unitary Authority. If you are interested in finding out more about the Fred Pendlebury Trust and the duties of the trustees please contact Sue R (Contact Details available in Church paper notices or from Church Stewards).
