Sing For Fun
The Sing for Fun held a wonderful corned beef hash supper and concert last Saturday 25th November with everyone enjoying the food and the singing.
The concert raised over £370 for Church funds and the re-decoration project.
Joan received a special thank you after announcing she has elected to retire from leading the group for so many years, “I need a rest”, she said.
Friendly Club Christmas meal
Friendly Club went for a Christmas meal on Friday and a good time was had by all. The Club is now closed until 19th January. Thank you everyone who has supported us in the last year. Hope to see you in January.

The Balfour Declaration
Tonight at 7.30 pm at Stockton Heath Methodist Church, Warrington. After the evening service a 20 minute film will be shown marking the centenary of The Balfour Declaration. This was a promise made to the Palestinian people on November 2nd 2017. The film provides some background to the current situation of hardship and injustice which the Palestinian people suffer on a daily basis. After the service there will be time to have refreshments and then the film will be shown followed by an opportunity for short discussion.

Rev David Woosley
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Rev David Woosley on 4th September. He was a Superintendent Minister of this Circuit for 13 years and will be fondly remembered by many. It was a peaceful passing. Please remember Joyce, Jenny, Sue, Ray and the rest of the family. His funeral will take place on Thursday 14th September at 12:30pm at South Chapel Landican followed by Claremount approximately 1.15pm. If anyone wants to go Kit is going to the Church but not the Crem beforehand so please let her know if you would like a lift.

In aid of the 28th Warrington Scout Troop on Saturday 30th September between 1.30pm and 4pm will be held in the Church hall. There will be afternoon tea, a craft stall and a tombola. Tickets are £8 available from Adam, Wendy or Eric. Children under 5 are free.

Harvest Festival
This year we thought it would be nice to decorate the Church with fruit and vegetables along with dried goods. Obviously for this to happen we will need donations and they will need to be brought to Church for Saturday 16th September. We will be having a bring and share lunch after the Harvest Service where the fresh fruit and veg will be auctioned off and the monies raised used to buy more items for the food bank. Everyone is welcome and we hope that as many people as possible will join us at this special time of thanksgiving and celebration of Gods goodness and provision for us.
